Today dawned cloudy and cool but by 11:00 the sun was out and it warmed up nicely. Around 3:30 we decided to take a short walk along the basin.
So when we got out it was pretty obvious that everyone in this arrondissement had the same idea. The walkers were out in force along with the cyclists. People were on the outdoor patios of restaurants and brasseries all along the way. People were playing boules, and a game where a thick stick is thrown at numbered pegs, children were overrunning the playground, everywhere people were just soaking up the November sun.
The canal tour boats are still running and they were plying the basin too. A lazy Sunday indeed.
