Today we welcome our nephew, Pat Herbold, and Sunday we welcome our niece, Barbara, to Paris. This is their first trip to Europe, although Barb will have just finished another trip to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland when she arrives. We picked Pat up at De Gaulle this morning and brought him back to the apartment to get situated. We hope to keep him active throughout the day so that he will be able to adjust to Paris time more quickly.
So a quick shower for him and we were out to walk through the neighborhood and into the Parc de la Villette.
We stopped for lunch at a little brasserie that lies directly next to the canal and had good steaks and pasta, this is the 19th arr. afterall.

After lunch we walked and looked at the Geode, the Argonaut (submarine), and the various inflated sculptures that are placed throughout the park.
We will have a quiet evening with Pat and get him to bed at a reasonable time to be ready for our trip out to Provins tomorrow.
