Today it was necessary to go shopping, we were pretty much out of everything to eat or drink! So we all headed down to our shopping street where Jim and I went into our Monoprix to procure wine and cheese while Deb went to the butcher. We all met at the fruit and veggie shop where Deb was already finished as well, so it was down to the bakery for bread and goodies. A quick stop at the organic market for the last bits to finish up the shopping.

After unpacking we headed up to a brasserie, Napoleon III, across the street from the park for lunch. Deb and I had fish while Jim had a seafood salad, accompanied by a nice chilled rose it was a refreshing lunch on a very warm day. Due to the heat we decided that today would be a recovery day of sitting in the park and reading in the shade. After a bit of reading and dozing Jim and I got up and walked through part of the park and across the suspension bridge built by Eiffel in the 1860's
In the evening Jim and I watched the live rugby match between France and England. Tonight France was victorious when England's comeback just ran out of time. It was exactly the opposite in England when they met a week ago, France just came out short on a comeback.
